“Otherness and Subjectivities: Construction of Class, Nation, and Gender in Literatures and Languages” Michigan State University

Keynote Adress by professor Gareth Williams from The University of Michigan
Tropos, the Graduate Student Journal of the Department of Romance and Classical Languages at MSU, invites submissions for its 11th annual graduate student conference. The Tropos Conference welcomes interdisciplinary works in Comparative Literature, Pedagogy and Linguistics. Additionally, we accept proposals for papers on Cinema, Visual Arts, and Cultural Studies.    Paper Format: Presentations in Spanish, French, or English should not exceed twenty minutes (8 pages aprox.) in order to allow time for discussion. Selected papers may be considered for publication in the forthcoming issue of Tropos journal.     Abstract Information: Submit a 200 word abstract by January 17th, 2011. Send abstracts to tropos@msu.edu. Please include the following information on a separate page: title, name, e-mail, institution. E-mail notifications will be sent within two weeks from the deadline. Conference fee is $20.00.
